WE WELCOME MS. JAN WHITNEY

Jan will start work as our Office Administrator on Mon, Apr 1
Special greetings to our members and friends from Jan: “I’m very excited to be the new Office Administrator at UUCR.  No one can fill Margo’s shoes but I hope to be able to continue her most excellent legacy.  I have over 20 years of experience in the office setting, including 2 years of Secretarial Science training at Prince George’s Community College.  I’ve been a legal office assistant at a downtown DC law firm; I’ve been the office assistant to company Presidents; I’ve worked in the Human Resources and accounting departments of a defense contracting company; and for the last 20 years I’ve been an account manager at two direct marketing companies. I’ve seen technology change from carbon copies on an electric typewriter thru DOS to Windows and have conquered learning many different software applications over the years.  Working for a non-profit organization is a first and I’m looking forward to it!  I thank Tom Tontarski, Carl Gallegos and the Board of Directors for this opportunity to be of service.”
