August 14, Ms. Diane Shields, “Shinrinyoku” (translation from Japanese = “Forest Bathing”)

The Japanese phrase “Shinrin-Yoku” translates roughly to “forest bathing”, or bathing in the natural environment of a forest. Many scientific studies show the physical and mental health benefits of practicing Shinrin-Yoku.  It can be a spiritual practice to express the UU 7th principle; come experience it in UUCR’s own young woodland, weather permitting.
