Mark your calendars!  The Green Sanctuary Committee is sponsoring an educational workshop, Pollinator Meadows vs. Manicured Lawns,”
on the benefits of wildflowers and meadows compared with those of standard lawns. Saturday Feb. 17, 2018 at UUCR, 1 p.m. Our speaker will be Andi Pupke,  Education and Outreach Director, Chesapeake Wildlife Heritage.  
Learn about the downside of large expanses of mowed lawns, the major declines in pollinators of important food species, and the aesthetics of pollinator meadows. Come with open minds, questions, and comments.
