September 20   Artists for Justice: Learning the Stories

In May, local artist Nancy Tankersley felt called to a more active role to help end racism. She saw her gifts as an artist and her connections to other artists in the community as a starting point. Within weeks the exhibit ‘Portraits of Black Lives Lost” by Artists for Justice emerged. Join Rev. Sue Browning, Nancy Tankersley, Sara Poly for this service exploring art and justice, and the ways we are each called to use our gifts to bring about change.

July 19, Amy Warner, Summer Zoom Discussion. “Summer Reading”

What have you been reading this summer? With the cancellation of so many other summer plans, I would imagine that folks are reading more than usual.

For the Sunday discussion on July 19, I’m asking participants to share a 2-3 minute introduction to the best book – fiction or nonfiction – that they’ve read this summer.

1) Give the title, author, and a short summary.
2) Tell why you like it and/or give a recommendation.

Hold up the book if you have a copy of it! I’ll keep a list, which I’ll then submit to the newsletter for inclusion.

I’m looking forward to hearing about what everybody’s
been reading.
